The vision I have for this novel SPANS far and wide. I believe that society’s current reality will play the biggest role in my creative thought process. Crickets will have similar underlying themes with books like THE HUNGER GAMES AND DIVERGENT, BUT WILL ULTIMATELY BE SET IN PRESENT DAY INSTEAD OF THE DEEP FUTURE
WORKING SUMMARY:
Bryony May MITCHELL is too busy living a sodden life off the coast of South Carolina to focus on anything of importance. it isn't until she receives a cryptic letter from a long-time friend of her deceased father, prefacing the beginning of another civil war, that she STARTS TAKING a closer look at her country’s political climate and what some leaders will do to gain power and status. What she finds out about the american government and the secrets they are keeping is shocking
as the country falls into ruin, bryony is forced to make a life-changing decision: Will she stand up and fight for justice and peace or surrender to the dictatorship of modern-day political bureaucracy
The goal for this book is to transport readers to a realistic world in which they can fully imagine the events described taking place in our current reality. I want people to finish it and be entirely convinced that what happened to Bryony will manifest in their own lives. It will be written with the intent to evoke feelings of intense terror and tension, but I ultimately hope that this book will bring a sense of awareness and readiness for change

While my main, and more realistic intention is to be published on library bookshelves, a guilty pleasure of mine is to write fanfiction. Like all writers, I have films, shows, and characters I feel so deeply and acutely attached to. Ones that if I looked in the mirror, I’d half expect to be staring back at me. As a teenager, Peyton Sawyer was my trauma bond, blonde-haired best friend. Jo March is still so tangled in my anatomy, and Wanda Maximoff will forever be my all time misunderstood inner child. I was devastated when The Scarlet Witch was sacrificed from the Marvel Cinematic Universe before I remembered that I’m well equipped to carry on her story on my own. Chaos Found Magic is the product of pent up grief and similar story lines that i share with my favorite fictional character. And while it is admittedly not my best work, it feels relieving to write a story that I’m certain will go nowhere further. It will forever just be mediocre, and I’m still just so in love with it
